DESCRIPTION:
France, mantel clock, 8 day, time only, sping-driven movement with a cylinder escapement in a mahogany case with brass inlay on ball feet supporting a box with drawer that opens to the side, topped with an octagonal head holding a white paper dial with Roman numerals and metal finial.
CONDITION:
minute hand is off, trapped under the dial glass. One piece of string inlay is absent an the other will need to be secured. Glass has large crack. Feet are attached with modern screws. Movement ticks briskly when wound, but was not tested long term.
